How do I know if I should renovate or knock down and rebuild?
There is never a simple and certain answer to this question and it depends largely on what you want and what your budget is, but here at TM architecture we can familiarise you with the advantages and disadvantages of each option so you can decide with a better understanding of the potentials of your house.
How do I know what specialists I need for constructing a house?
If you already know professionals in the building industry and you very much like to use their services, that’s fine. Otherwise we can introduce you the consultants and builders that we have worked with, so you don’t need to look for any professionals other than the architect!
How much do you charge?
Our fees are on a lump sum basis and depend on the size and complexity of the project. After evaluating the project we will send you a fee proposal showing the fee for each stage of the project.
What contract do you use?
We use a standard Client and architect agreement published by Australian Institute of Architects and it is for the benefit of both architects and their clients.
How do I know what my new house is going to look like?
At TM architecture we are highly skilled in producing 3d presentations of the buildings. From rough sketches for concept design to computerised realistic presentations of your house, our perspectives and 3d renders will help you visualise what the new building will look like.
How does design process work?
Design involves proposing options, based on your brief, site constraints, regulations, etc. This process can be repeated a number of times as the design is further developed. The first concept usually needs to be refined to satisfy client needs.
Who is a registered architect?
A person who has an accredited degree in architecture and has passed architectural practice examination can become registered in the relevant State or Territory. All registered architects are bound by “Architect Code of Professional Conduct” which is a statement of the standards required for providing architectural services. Registered architects not only have proven years of academic and work experience behind them, but they also belong to a professional body that helps to bring more peace of mind to the client.
