When the clients approached us to enclose the existing balcony and convert it into a new bedroom, they did not expect to achieve a complete transformation of their existing residence into a striking new design using the same materials and finishes. The new design changed the entire look and feel of this house with maximum impact from a few well-considered modifications while respecting the regulations of the Waverley Council. Replacing the existing carport roof unifies the building forms and completes the artistic makeover.
“In 2014, we set out to add a bedroom to our Dover Heights home. By word of mouth, we were introduced to Tarsa Moayed from TM architecture. Tarsa patiently led us through the design phase of the renovation, which ultimately led to a complete transformation of the property, encompassing not only the addition of a highly functional and aesthetically beautiful new room for our daughter, but also the creation of a new living space that has become the focus point of our home and, unexpectedly a new modern street frontage that has substantially increased the value of the property. All this – and we never extended beyond our original budget.
Tarsa is a first-class architect, but we were also struck by her capacity to build rapport and a professional relationship with our independently chosen builder. We never envisaged the transformation that this renovation would have on our property and are indebted to Tarsa for her expertise, ingenuity and professionalism. Tarsa will be our first port of call for any future building project – we recommend her without reservation.”
